AIFS created ProMoCare to provide affordable, culturally responsive healthcare support for African immigrant and refugee mothers, expectant parents, and their newborns.
Our goal is to ensure families feel prepared, safe, and confident as they welcome and raise their children.

Baby Bag for All

Every new parent receives a brand-new diaper backpack filled with newborn essentials such as diapers, wipes, baby clothes, and hygiene products.
This gift eases the financial burden of welcoming a baby and connects families to additional support services.

 

ProMoCare Boutique

Our ProMoCare Boutique is a welcoming space where families can access essential baby and family items at no cost.
Available resources include:

Diaper Pantry – free diapers in a variety of sizes

Baby Clothing – gently used and new clothes for infants and toddlers

Women’s Hygiene Packs – essential care items for mothers

Kids’ Toys & Learning Materials – to support healthy play and development

The boutique helps families meet immediate needs and reduce financial stress during pregnancy and early parenting.

Car Seat Education & Safety

Certified car seat technicians provide: Car seat checks to ensure proper installation and fit Hands-on installation support for parents and caregivers Safety education on how to keep infants and young children secure on the road

Home Safety Visits

Our Home Safety Program helps families create safe living spaces and prevent household accidents. During periodic home visits, trained staff provide culturally tailored guidance on fire safety, fall prevention, childproofing, and other home safety practices.

 

Learning Begins at Birth

An early childhood education program that guides parents in understanding and supporting their child’s development from day one. Families learn about growth milestones, language development, nutrition, and play-based learning strategies.
